At Smitten with Flowers, our mission is to offer sustainably grown, seasonal British flowers that are beautiful, eco-friendly, and kind to the planet. Based in Brighouse and Leeds, West Yorkshire, we are passionate about sharing the joy of locally grown flowers with our community.
Alongside our hand-tied eco-conscious bouquets, we offer DIY flower buckets for those who love creating their own arrangements at home. Depending on the season, we also provide dried flowers, which are just as vibrant as fresh blooms and a modern, sustainable alternative to traditional arrangements.
Throughout the year, we run popular flower arranging workshops and wreath-making classes in Leeds and Brighouse. These sessions are a relaxing, creative way to learn new skills and take home a beautiful, seasonal arrangement, perfect for beginners and experienced flower lovers alike.
About us
We grew up in Latvia, where most families had an allotment to grow their own food. As children, we were mainly entrusted with weeding — not the most exciting task — but we absorbed much of our mum’s gardening knowledge. When we moved to the UK in 2005, we continued growing vegetables, keeping that connection to the soil and seasonal growing alive.
While we loved growing our own food, something about flowers always captured our hearts. In 2020, Lita cut a bunch of flowers for herself, and the beauty of them sparked an idea — this was what we wanted to do. Grow flowers, share their natural beauty, and bring the joy they create to others.
Smitten with Flowers is our part-time business, worked around our day jobs. While this can sometimes feel limiting, it comes with a silver lining: we can offer early morning and late evening local flower deliveries in Brighouse and Leeds — a flexibility that traditional flower shops may not always provide.
What matters to us
We grow and arrange our flowers with nature and the environment in mind. Our blooms are always fresh, arranged without plastic or floral foam, and grown without harmful chemicals. We are committed to sustainable floristry and eco-friendly growing practices, ensuring every arrangement is kind to the planet.
Our bespoke floral arrangements are simple yet elegant, allowing the natural beauty of each flower to shine. We also incorporate herbs and seasonal foraged greenery, adding texture, fragrance, and a unique, personal touch to every bouquet.
Many of our customers return time and again, appreciating beautiful, seasonal, locally grown flowers that have a low environmental impact. We pride ourselves on providing high-quality, personal customer service, making every interaction and arrangement a special experience.
